Doug Herbert, competing in his second NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series event of the season, qualified the Mail Terminal Services ‘Mail From Home’ Program/B.R.A.K.E.S. dragster No. 11 in Bristol but fell in the first round of eliminations to Tony Schumacher, who went on to win the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals. |

Doug Herbert, a six-time winner at Bristol, qualified the Mail Terminal Services “Mail from Home” Program/B.R.A.K.E.S. dragster in the 11th spot at this weekend’s NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals. In Round 1 of eliminations Herbert will face the No. 6 qualifier Tony Schumacher. |

Doug Herbert will make his 2009 NHRA Top Fuel season debut this weekend, May 15-17, at the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals in Bristol, Tenn. Herbert, who has been sidelined this season due to a lack of full time sponsorship funding, has kept himself busy with his performance parts business and other projects, but the drag racing veteran is thrilled to be heading back to the drag strip. |
